Photosynthesis

These photographs are part of an ongoing black and white series exploring the life of forms from 2009 to date.

Just as light travels through space and shapes life, my contemplation of forms through light continues wherever life take me, from San Francisco to Philadelphia and Taipei.

Landscape Reimagined

A series of landscape in diptych/triptych format exploring the poetics of constructed space through synthesis of moments taken from nature in different times and places.

The visible differences between each panel aims at creating planar movement to allow the beholder wanders through the panels and contemplate with the rhythm of light.

Juxtaposition

The concept of this series is to explore harmony within contrasting elements by juxtaposing photographs of two different spaces – still lifes in interior space and elements from exterior space. Nuance of color cast in each work depicts the sensuousness of light comprising visual form and visual harmonics.

Still Life Diptych

Paper is a crucial element in my tabletop construction for its subtle texture and moldability. A diptych format opens up space for photography. It expands the potentials of exploring interior dynamics through the interplay of color and light.

Tabletop

Still life objects tend to be patient. A liaison quietly formed among them when they lie down, stand or sit around each other.

It is the tension within such liaison – the give and take between them that I am interested in exploring.
